What is Hello Alice?

Hello Alice is a free online platform that helps businesses launch and grow. We guide owners through every step of their entrepreneurial journey by providing knowledge, funding, networks, and peer-to-peer connections with more than 360,000 small business owners.

How did you choose the name?

Hello Alice is named after the fantastic tale of Alice in Wonderland. Co-founders Carolyn Rodz and Elizabeth Gore realized a business owner’s journey can often leave them feeling like Alice — curiouser and curiouser. Constantly running into the unexpected. Believing as many as “six impossible things before breakfast,” as the book says. If that doesn’t capture the entrepreneurial spirit, we don’t know what does.

Are grants hosted on Hello Alice open to businesses outside of the U.S.?

The specific qualifications for funding depend on the grant program. We recommend checking the terms and conditions of each program to see if you are eligible.

How do I know you received my application?

You will receive a confirmation email from Hello Alice to notify you that your application was successfully received.

Are the grants hosted on Hello Alice loans? Do I have to pay them back?

Grant programs on Hello Alice are not loans and do not have to be repaid. There is no cost to apply.

What is my application status?

We will notify you via email of any updates to your application status.

Are nonprofits eligible for the grant?

Unfortunately, nonprofits are not eligible for the grant programs on Hello Alice. We recommend consulting our COVID-19 Business Resource Center for the most up-to-date information and funding opportunities, as well as connecting with your peers in the Hello Alice ‘Business for All’ community.

Can I get feedback on my application?

Our small team can’t offer individualized feedback, but we recommend reviewing this guide on how to put together a successful application and encourage you to apply for future programs. You can subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date on the latest opportunities.

I’ve made a mistake in my application. Can I resubmit?

According to our terms and conditions, an application “cannot be modified in any way” after it has been submitted. You have the option to email us at [email protected] with your corrections. The judging panel will do its best to incorporate these changes, but please understand that no guarantees can be made due to the volume of applications.

My situation has changed. Can I update my application?

Due to the volume of applications, we can’t accommodate updates to your application, as stated in the terms and conditions. We understand the unique circumstances and will evaluate your application knowing that owners are constantly adapting their businesses.

Do you have a phone number I can contact?

We don’t offer phone support at this time. For any questions, please send us an email at [email protected] , and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!

I’m having technical difficulties completing my application. Can someone assist?

Most issues can be resolved by clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. If you continue to experience technical errors, please email us at [email protected] with a detailed description of the issue.

How do I change my password?

To change your account password, please go to your account settings and click Change Your Password.

How do I reset my password?

You can reset your password here.

How do I upload or change my profile picture?

To upload or change your profile picture, please log in to your Hello Alice profile, and click Edit Basics. Then, click Upload Image.

How do I delete my account?

We’re sorry to see you go! If you would like to delete your account, please go to account settings and click Cancel Your Account.

How do I change my email address under my account?

To change your email address, please go to account settings and click Change Your Email Address.

I’m having difficulties logging in to my account. Can someone assist?
