1. Be consistent
When starting out on social media, one founder says that posting consistently on social media is key when marketing digitally.

2. Interact with your followers
Another owner also shares that being active on social media results in powerful engagements with your audience.
“Definitely try and interact [with your social media] every day, if not multiple times a day. Make a list of different things you want to post and follow that list; this allows you to [have] meaningful engagements.”

3. Schedule posts in advance
But what happens if you can’t make time during your busy week to post regularly? This founder uses online tools that can schedule your posts ahead of time, allowing you to focus your attention on other business needs.
“I use a scheduler called Later (Later.com). It was a bit of a challenge at first since I’m in no way tech-savvy, but once I got the hang of it, it saved me. I can schedule a week’s worth of posts in one day. I slot Saturday for that since the new week starts on Sunday.”

4. Create meaningful content
One owner says that creating content that resonates with your customers is essential when developing a successful social media marketing strategy.
“Create copy/content that resonates with your [brand]. Make it conversational. Share content that will inspire people to look at a situation from a different perspective. Show up as a thought leader in your area of expertise. Share the what and why and that will inspire people to ask you the HOW, and the HOW is what you monetize. Don’t be sales-y, but at the same time, always close with a call to action if you want your conversions to increase.”
