Alice has big news for small business. We are happy to announce that Abena Boamah-Acheampong, founder of Hanahana Beauty, has been chosen as the recipient of the company’s first-ever $10,000 Grant and Mentorship opportunity.

Boamah-Acheampong was chosen from a pool of more than 650 entrepreneurs. “I am still brimming with inspiration from reviewing hundreds of applications for Alice’s first grant.  We looked for purpose, scale and leadership,” says Elizabeth Gore, Alice co-founder. “Hanahana Beauty is on the cusp of changing the way we look at beauty and personal care. Abena’s passion for the triple bottom of people, planet, and profit pulled her to the top of the pile. We are honored to welcome her to the Alice family.”

Alice continues to lean into the critical need for owners to receive funding and mentorship. So our commitment is to announce something very soon to continue providing business for all to diverse entrepreneurs.

At Alice, we believe in the New Majority of business owners.  The business owners who entered the competition were hearteningly diverse, validating our belief. Here are a few statistics:
