Businesses like bars and restaurants are places where communities gather, milestones are celebrated, and we pause for well-deserved moments of joy. But as we look forward to slowly getting back to our favorite spots, these small businesses need all the help they can get in order to recover from the challenges of the last year.

That’s why Bacardi and the NAACP have teamed up to launch the second round of the Backing the B.A.R. (Black-Owned Accounts & Retailers) Acceleration Grant program. Hosted by Hello Alice, the program will empower 35 Black-owned businesses in the hospitality and alcohol sales industries with the resources they need to bounce back and grow to new heights.

Through this initiative, our partners at Bacardi and the NAACP want to nurture and accelerate the growth of Black-owned businesses. The 35 recipients will not only receive a $10,000 grant but also access to mentors, tools, and networks to help them level up their small businesses.

Everyone who applies for the grant will receive free access to the Hello Alice COVID-19 Business Resource Center, including step-by-step business guides, thousands of industry-specific business resources, and a peer-to-peer community of nearly 500,000 small business owners ready to help you succeed.

Who Qualifies?

First, you must be a U.S.-based business that is at least 51% Black-owned. And in order to take advantage of the unique mentorship and educational opportunities from our partners at Bacardi, your business must also have a liquor license or aspire to have one.

Applications are now open and will remain open until 6 p.m. ET Friday, July 30, 2021.
