How to promote your products and business during the holidays

I try to keep up with all the social media platforms out there but my brain can only
handle so many… However, for entrepreneurs, it is critical to keep up with social trends
and sales tools as one of the most cost effective ways to execute marketing strategies.
For small businesses looking to take advantage of lucrative holiday shopping potential,
using the right social media tools can make a big difference. You have to meet
customers where they are.

Here are five key social media tools to consider during this year’s holiday shopping season:

1. Instagram Shopping

Instagram Shopping lets businesses tag products in their posts and stories. Consumers can click on the items and make purchases directly through the app for a streamlined shopping experience. This tool is perfect for retail, fashion, beauty and wellness, food, handmade goods, or any type of business with visually appealing merchandise.

    2. TikTok for Business

TikTok for Business is ideal to reach a large audience, engage with customers, and showcase your goods. According to a TikTok survey, 55 percent of TikTok users are likely to buy a holiday gift that they saw on TikTok. Unsurprisingly, TikTok is the top place TikTok users discover a brand or product for the holidays.

    3. Facebook Ads Manager

Facebook still claims the title as the most popular social media platform with over 3 billion monthly active users. Facebook is a powerful tool for small businesses and ads can be highly targeted to specific customer segments, are designed to build engagement, and can be affordable, costing as low as $1 a day.

    4. Canva

Hop on Canva to create festive and eye-catching graphics without needing a graphic designer. Canva has paid and free options, enabling users to create every type of graphic imaginable during the peak shopping season, from social media posts to printed flyers and event invites.

    5. Google Ads

I’ve personally seen the impact Google Ads can have on small businesses due to its targeting, budget options, and measurable data. Are you a nonprofit? You could be missing out on $10,000 worth of free monthly Google Ads. Google Ad Grants offers nonprofits up to $10,000 a month of free search advertising, and it’s worth looking into.

Explore one or all of these tools to promote your business, engage with customers, and optimize your marketing during the busiest shopping season of the year.
