DoorDash Local Restaurant Grants Are Back!

Restaurant owners in select cities across the United States and Canada can now apply for the second round of the DoorDash Local Restaurant Grant program.

Part of DoorDash’s Main Street Strong Pledge, this grant helps restaurants cover rent, personal protective equipment, expanded outdoor dining capacity, and other expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first round of grant recipients included 360 restaurants in six cities across the United States. Representing karaoke joints, breweries, pizza places, and everything in between, 85% of these grant recipients stated that one of the most significant impacts on their business was reduced sales due to restrictions, and 82% cited lost revenue attributed to the declining economy. DoorDash is responding to the continued need for financial support by re-opening applications and expanding eligibility to restaurants in 20 new locations.

To qualify for a second-round DoorDash Local Restaurant Grant, applicants must have at least one establishment in the following places:

U.S. — $5,000 USD Grants

  • The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • The State of Rhode Island
  • Erie County, NY
  • Monroe County, NY
  • Prince George’s County, MD
  • Rochester, MN
  • St. Paul, MN
  • Madison, WI
  • Milwaukee, WI
  • Columbus, OH
  • Cincinnati, OH
  • Kansas City, MO
  • Pittsburgh, PA
  • Anchorage, AK
  • Sacramento, CA
  • San Diego, CA

Canada — $3,000 CAD Grants

  • Toronto
  • Montreal
  • Vancouver

Applications open on Jan. 27, 2021, and close on Feb. 17, 2021. Restaurants do not need to be on the DoorDash platform to apply but must conform to specific selection criteria regarding revenue, employee count, number of locations, and more.
